Personal Reflection
I learned a lot from Ms. Duquett. For example, English is just a tool to communicate with people better. She went to many countries when she was young. Among them, She realized that English is the best way to communicate better with people. From what she said, I thought English was very important when I started a project to solve social problems related to SDGs with people from various countries.
Duquette has the largest number of sake breweries in the world in Niigata, where he was born. She started a project on SDGs, taking advantage of the fact that Niigata, where he was born, has the most sake breweries in the world. It was found that SDGS's efforts in sake brewing lead to various things such as not only environmental conservation but also cooperation with the community and cultural succession. I wanted to start a project in my group that was related to various items of SDGs.
The most impressive part of Duquette's presentation is the chart for life. I had never thought hard about "ikigai" before. It turns out that "ikigai" is the middle part of the chart where everything overlaps.
According to the figure above, "ikigai" is that you like it, you are good at it, you become money, and you are in demand. From these, I thought that finding "ikigai" was also important in group projects. I also thought that in life, the chart of life is useful when you find what you want to do.
