France will almost completely ban outdoor smoking from July

France's health minister announced on the 29th that smoking at beaches, parks, bus stops and other outdoor places where children can enter and exit will be completely prohibited.The law will come into force on July 1st, and violators will be subject to fines of up to 135 euros (approximately 22,000 yen).

Minister of Labour, Health, Solidarity and Family Catherine Beauten said the new smoking ban would apply to "beaches, parks, public gardens, outside schools, bus stops and sports venues", all places where children may be present.
